Hello, Countryside Garden Club Members,
It’s a hot day in July and I just came inside after weeding. It’s what we gardeners do this time of year! That, and think about the changes small and large we might make in our gardens when the weather cools a bit.
I’m also thinking about our exciting Countryside Garden Club plans for the coming year- visits to local gardens, horticulture programs, designing with dried flowers, our joint flower show with Moonflower Garden Club, service projects, and more! What fun to share this with old friends and new, as we welcome new members to the club. I”m really looking forward to another term as co-president with Jill, and supporting Ginny, our state president, as she starts her time in office.
Thanks to all of you for making Countryside a special family of gardeners.
Cheers!
-Linda Powell, Co-President
Greetings, Countryside Garden Club Members,
As Linda and I begin another combined tenure at the helm of Countryside, I find two heads really are better than one! Our shared responsibility is even easier since everyone steps up to the plate with ideas and to lend a hand.
We’ve had many delightful experiences to date, met new friends with shared interests and enthusiasm for learning new things, and as a club we are growing! Here’s to more horticulture, design, laughter, good food and camaraderie in the 2023/2024 season to come.
