“Creating an Avocado Orchard – A Member Experience”unknown

 Location:   Lamborn Library Building

 Valley Road, Hockessin, DE 19707

Host:              Bill Baur

Program: Member Ralph Sutter will present slides showing how he created an avocado orchard in southern California, all the while employed as an aerospace engineer and scientist. Years later after relocating to Nevada, Ralph planted 3000 black locust trees on his 12 acre property to establish and protect “water rights”. Venturing east in 2006 with an eye towards “normal” landscaping projects, Ralph delights in sharing the many stories of his past gardening experiences with club members and he appreciates the local knowledge sharing during our horticulture reports and ‘show and tell’ sessions each month. Guacamole anyone?

Calendar Notes:   5   Tweed’s Holiday greens removed
