Co-Hosts:    Joan Yulduzian & Nanci Hardam

P rogram: Our club helps to keep Brackenville Rd. free of litter as part of the DE Adopt-a-Highway program. Come learn what Dr. John Bare has been doing along a portion of Brackenville and Indian Rill to restore the woods that had been a grazing field virtually void of meaningful vegetation. Efforts have included invasive plant removal, planting of diverse native trees, shrubs, ephemerals and a few non-native, non-invasive plants. Crucial to any restoration program is some form of discouragement of deer predation. Dr. Bare is on the Board of the Red Clay Valley Assoc. and the Conservancy Committee of DNS. He is committed to natural resources conservation and preservation.
