Congratulations! Countryside Garden Club Members win Second Place for Roadside Beautification!

Members put in more hours this year to beautify the landscaping around the sign and tuck in plants and bulbs. After spring-clean-up those pink bleeding hearts, sweet woodruff, solomon’s seal, forget-me-not, hellebore and chocolate chip ajuga could be seen beneath white irises.

Mulching, ongoing weeding and maintenance continue to brighten the area into a cheery welcome to Hockessin Village.

The sign is located on the same side of Yorklyn Road as the Stone Mill entrance, closer to Hockessin before the office building with the rock.
